The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) has extended condolences to its Chairman, John Aikpokpo-Martins, for the loss of his father-in-law, Dr. Emmanuel Obaro Esieke, who passed away on November 17 at the age of 82.

Dr. Esieke, a highly respected medical doctor, is remembered for his over 50 years of compassionate service to the Sapele community. He established a successful private medical practice after earning his degree and was known for his kindness and selflessness in caring for patients.

In a statement, Sadiya Bahjatu Saleh, Esq, the Publicity Secretary of NBA SPIDEL, expressed deepest condolences to Chairman Aikpokpo-Martins and his family during this difficult time. “Dr. Esieke’s legacy of warmth and care for others will always be remembered. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Aikpokpo-Martins family.

Dr. Esieke was also an active member of his local church for many years, serving in various leadership roles. He leaves behind his wife, seven children, many grandchildren and countless others whose lives he touched meaningfully.

The NBA SPIDEL remarked, “Though we mourn Dr. Esieke’s passing, we also honor his remarkable legacy of faith, compassion and community service. He shall be deeply missed.” Funeral arrangements are still pending.
