The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Paul Usoro, SAN has condemned the abduction of Chike Onyemenam, SAN.

In a statement by Kunle Edun, Esq., the National Publicity Secretary of NBA which was sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL), the NBA Chairman assures that the leadership shall give full support to the family of the learned silk and calls on government to and the police to do their best and secure the release of the victim.

The statement reads:

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Paul Usoro, SAN has strongly condemned the abduction of yet another member of the Bar, this time, the amiable and distinguished Chike Onyemenam, SAN on September 14, 2019.

The Nigerian Bar Association has reached out to the family and colleagues of the learned Senior Advocate and has assured them of the full support of the leadership of the Bar in this trying period.

The NBA President urges the Delta State Government and the Inspector General of Police to ensure the safe and early release and return of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

Mr. Paul Usoro, SAN reiterates the call for Governments at all levels to rejig their security apparatuses and ensure that the security of lives and properties of every one living in Nigeria is guaranteed.
