The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr Olumide Akpata, paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Nigerian Identity Management Commission to propose collaboration with NIMC for digital ID for Nigerian lawyers.

The President and his team were received by The DG/CEO, Engr Aliyu A Aziz at the Commission’s Corporate Headquarters, in Abuja.
According to the President, the visit is to foster a collaboration with the commission to enable the harmonization of the identity of Lawyers with the National Identification Number (NIN).
This is a bid by the NBA to identify it’s members and foster its digitization.
He also commended the commission for its immense effort in driving the Digital Economy in Nigeria through the National Identity Management System.
Engr Aziz in his comments, thanked the President and his team and affirmed the commission’s willingness to support the proposed identity harmonisation.
