The Owo branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has nominated a Lagos based seasonal lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, Esq., for the conferment of an award of excellence.

This was communicated to the recipient via a letter dated the 25th of June, 2019, signed by the Secretary of the branch, Olorunmeke Clement, Esq., and made available to TheNigerialawyer (TNL).

The branch through the letter had informed Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, Esq., that the nomination is in appreciation and acknowledgment of his superlative attainments in his chosen career and his valuable contribution to the society at large

The letter reads thus: “I write to convey the resolve of NBA Owo, at her congress meeting of 26th April, 2019, with regards to your nomination for the branch’s Award of Excellence.

Please, note that your nomination is in appreciation and acknowledgment of your superlative attainments in your chosen career and your valuable contribution to the society at large. NBA Owo is proud of your person and your stunning achievements.

While congratulating you for the worthwhile nomination, I am pleased to inform you that the award will be conferred on you during the 2019 Annual Law Week celebration of the branch holding on the 19th July 2019.

Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa Esq. was born on the 21st of March, 1965. Married to Oreka Apata, he was a counsel at the Gani Fewehinmi Chambers from 1995 – 2000.

He had once served as Editor, Human Rights Law Reports of Africa and the Nigeria Weekly Law Reports; president, GSM Subscribers Association of Nigeria; Legal Adviser, Academic Staff Union of Universities, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife branch, Oodua People’s Congress; Lagos Mechanics Association; Lagos State Fishermen Association, etc.

He was recently shortlisted as one of those to be considered for the conferment of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
