In a statement signed by the Secretary, Law week Committee, Ayobami V. Olorunfemi Esq., the law week will hold between 25th-27th Sept.
The theme for the Law Week is “CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION: THE WAY FORWARD.”
WEDNESDAY 25th Sept 2019
8 am – 10 am Sensitization/health walk starting from NBA Secretariat
4 pm – 6 pm Novelty Football match between Senior Lawyers (10yrs post-call and above) and Young Lawyers (1-9years post-call)
THURSDAY 26th SEPTEMBER, 2019
9 am – 9:45 am CAPACITY BUILDING: AN IDEAL 21ST CENTURY LAWYER BY THE LEAD SPEAKER:
9:45 am – 10:30 am Discussion on the issues raised in the paper by appointed Discussants.
11 am – 12:00 pm HEALTH TALK: THE LAWYER AND HIS HEALTH BY REPRESENTATIVE OF THE NIGERIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (NMA)
12noon- 12:30pm: Lunch break/Free Medical treatment
12:30 pm – 1:15 pm SEMINAR TOPIC: HUMAN RIGHT & NATIONAL SECURITY: AN APPRAISAL OF THE NIGERIA EXPERIENCE BY THE LEAD SPEAKER
1:15 pm – 1:45 pm Discussion on the issues raised in the paper by appointed Discussants.
1:45 pm – 2:15 pm ROUND TABLE ON THE BAR AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES BY THE LEAD SPEAKER.
2:15 pm – 3:00 pm Discussion on the issues raised in the paper by appointed Discussants.
FRIDAY 27th SEPTEMBER, 2019
8 am – 12noon Visit to Federal Prison Koton-Karfe with welfare packages.
