NBA Lagos Poll #2021: Electoral Committee Clears Ikechukwu Uwanna To Contest For The Office Of Chairman 

Electoral Committee, Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association had cleared Ikechukwu Uwanna, Esq, to contest for the office of Chairman.

The Electoral Committee has slated 28th of June 2021, to hold another election that will usher in a new administration for the branch.

Mr. Uwanna has almost twenty years in commercial law practice and is a Partner with Tsedaqah Attorneys, a firm he co-founded. 

Prior to the establishment of Tsedaqah Attorneys, he had garnered extensive dispute resolution, international arbitration, and transactional experience working in other Law Firms.

Ikechukwu has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Abia State University Nigeria; a Master’s degree in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, and a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos.

Ikechukwu, a Notary Public of Nigeria, has served and continues to serve, the Nigerian Bar Association in different capacities including recently serving as the Secretary of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association and a member of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association. 

Currently, he is the Secretary of the Law Firm Management Committee of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association. His unique mix of professional excellence and cognate experience has resulted in Ikechukwu being widely touted as having the capacity, mien, and character to lead the largest branch of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Ikechukwu is also a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigeria, Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, and a member of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, International Bar Association, Nigerian Institute of Management, Chartered Institute of Mediators and Conciliators, Capital Market Solicitors Association of Nigeria and Association of Outsourcing Practitioners of Nigeria.
