The Ibadan branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has sympathized with victims of the explosion that occurred on Tuesday at Bodija area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

In a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Oluwatobi Fatoki Esq., the NBA Ibadan disclosed that some of its members were affected by the blast, including former Oyo State Deputy Governor Iyiola Oladokun, Chief Niyi Akintola SAN, Niyi Farinto and Ayo Arowosafe.
The bar executives commended the swift response of the state government, security agencies, medical teams and others in providing emergency aid to victims. They charged members of the public to always speak up and report suspicious activities in the interest of collective safety.
NBA Ibadan Chairman, Folasade Aladeniyi also tasked the state government to act promptly on complaints from citizens as part of good governance. She reiterated calls for vigilance and community partnership with government agencies in order to forestall tragic incidents.
The NBA continues to monitor the situation of victims receiving treatment while hoping for full healing and recovery.
