The Constitution Review Committee, has on Tuesday, 23rd May, called on members of the legal profession to share their ideas on the ongoing constitutional review process so as to ensure that the Constitution align line with its objectives, international best practices and current realities.

In line with the provisions of Section 25 of the Constitution of the Nigerian Bar Association 2015 (as amended in 2021) the Committee is hereby calling on all esteemed members of the Nigerian Bar Association for proposals and contributions towards the ongoing constitution review exercise.

Furthermore, the memo which was signed by Adesina Adegbite, FICMC, who is the general secretary of the committee, states that the Committee emphasized that this proposals and contributions are to be submitted in the form of a memoranda touching on any matter that will bring the NBA Constitution in line with its objectives, international best practices and current realities.

The Chairman of the NBA Constitution Review Committee, further asked that this proposal and review are to be submitted physically to the National Secretariat at NBA House which is located at Plot 1101 Muhammadu Buhari Way, Central Business District, Abuja, FCT, or electronically to – nbaconstitutionreviewcommittee@nigerianbar.org.ng, not later than 10 days from the date of when this Notice, i.e. the 1st day of June, 2023 is given.
