The remains of Peter Ajose Rokosu. Esq was laid to rest on Wednesday 3rd July 2019 at his home town, Owode in Badagry West Local Government Area of Lagos state amidst wailing by the members of the Bar, family and community.

Barrister Peter Rokosu who was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016 died in a motor accident along Mile 2 Apapa Expressway on the first day of July 2019 on the same day the branch held its last congress.

The members of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Heritage Bar turned out in their large numbers to bid farewell to the fallen colleague who it was revealed recently celebrated his wedding two weeks before his untimely death.

Speaking at the burial ceremony, the Chairman of the branch, Chigbo Okafor described the death as a colossal lose not only to his family and community but also to the members of the Bar and consoled members of the family and the community to accept the incident as the will of God.

According to him, Peter was known for his gentle, calm and respectful nature and will be missed by all. He however stressed that the clock of life of every man stops at once and no man has the power to tell when the hand of the clock will stop, whether early or late in life.

The immediate past chairman of the branch, J.D. Kiki described his death as a monumental loss while urging the Bar and the family members to come to terms with the reality of his death and not grieve themselves to a damaging point.

In his reaction, the patriarch of the deceased family, Pa Sunday Amosu Rokosu expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the show of love, solidarity and moral, spiritual and financial support extended to the family by the members of the bar.
