Ado Ekiti Branch Commenced 2019 Law Week with a Walk for Separation of Power as advocacy visits was paid to The Speaker, Ekiti House of Assembly, The Chief Judge and the Attorney General on Wednesday 3rd of July, 2019.

The event continues today Thursday 4th of July with the 9th Aare Afe Babalola Public Lecture to be delivered by Prof (Senator) Banji Akintoye the Author of History of Yoruba Nation and paper presenter at South West DAWN Project.

The Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi shall be in attendance to declare the event open and officially launch the Aare Afe Babalola E-lawyer Scheme.

Speaking with correspondent, Temidayo Akeredolu, Esq the Branch Secretary said E-Lawyer Scheme is a project of the Branch under the Executives led by Olakanmi Falade, Esq aimed at equipping lawyers with a Tablet Phone and Electronic law reports after the payment of 10 thousand naira.

He said further that over a hundred lawyers subscribed to the Scheme and they all shall receive their Tecno Droidpad 10 after the official launch by the Governor.

The Scheme is to improve legal practise in Ekiti and ensure strict compliance with ICT revolution of the profession.

He also said the Attorney General would host members to a cocktail party in the evening of today at the Bar Centre.
