Power Minister Saleh Mammam has promised that his ministry will improve electricity supply to Nigerians.

Mamman made the promised while addressing reporters during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in Jalingo, then Taraba State capital.

The minister said communities that were underserved will soon begin to enjoy regular service.

He also assured communities that had not been connected to the national grid that alternative sources of power generation would be provided for them.

Mamman urged Nigerians to embrace peace, saying only peaceful coexistence would bring development.

The minister advised agitators to give peace a chance and contribute to the “One Nigeria’s project”.

He added: “We do not have another country of our own. So, we must join hands to build the Nigeria of our dream.”
