Leading Aspirant For The Office Of Secretary NBA Lagos Branch, Nta Ekpiken, Rolls Out Her Profile

Nta Ekpiken, who appears to be the leading aspirant for the office of the Secretary in the forthcoming elections of NBA Lagos Branch scheduled to hold on 28^th June 2021, has released her service profile to the public.

In a copy of the profile, which was obtained by our correspondent, Nta, who holds a Master’s Degree in International Commercial and Maritime Law from Swansea University, Wales, United Kingdom, said that she has in her nearly 15 years as a lawyer, worked in various capacities and in different organisations, building a career mainly as an intellectual property law, company secretarial, corporate governance and regulatory compliance expert.

According to her profile, Nta Ekpiken who until recently was a Partner at The New Practice and before then a Senior Associate at Aluko & Oyebode has served the NBA both at the Branch and National Levels in several capacities including as a member of the NBA Lagos 2018 Law Week Planning Committee; a member of the NBA Lagos Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee; a member of the National Executive Committee of the NBA; a member of the 2019 NBA AGC -Technical Committee on Conference Planning; CPD Course Coordinator for the NBA the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE); and as Head of the Media and Publicity of the forthcoming 2021 NBA-AGC Technical Committee on Conference Planning.

Since releasing her profile, several comments have been made on social media and closed WhatsApp groups for lawyers on her qualifications for the office of the Secretary of NBA Lagos with some saying “this profile is too good and I lack the capacity to add anything”, and others commenting that “her profile shows a good track record of selfless leadership and volunteering, and the ability to properly coordinate and effectively manage tasks in a manner suitable for the office which she is contesting for”.
