The President of the Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), Dr Blessing Agbomhere, ACIArb, has constituted a reconciliation committee to address some issues rocking the Association – TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) reports

Recall that following the election of the Association that took place at Zeus Paradise Hotel, Mabushi, Abuja on 12th of September, 2020, some chapters of the Association threatened to break away from the Association till some of their concerns are addressed.

Consequently, Dr. Agbomhere, in a Notice made available to TNL said “The duty of every democratically elected government has always been to sue for the unity and peace of its members. As a government, we have noticed the various issues and concerns raised by LAWSANITES from some quarters and are determined to address all of them diplomatically. In a bid to foster peace and unity amonst us, a reconciliation committee is hereby formed to bring lasting peace to LAWSAN.”

He, therefore, announced the following persons as members of the Committee:

1. Olarinoye Dhikrullah Ajala (Chairman)
2. Steve-Orogwu Lilian Chioma (Secretary)
3. Sen. Emmanuel Nwobodo
4. Sen. Babatunde Alabi Ridwan
5. Hafsat Adam Muhammad
6. Faruk Tanko Tunga
7. Adekanye Walliyullah
8. Aliyu Tikau
9. Mohammed Kime
10. Abdulkareem Ridwan Arty
11. Sen. Apampa Saheed
12. Sen. Etaba Agbor
13. Adamu Muye

According to the Notice, the committee has a mandate to convene meetings and interface directly with the aggrieved parties so as to clearly foster the peace and unity that the association has enjoyed over the years.

Agbomhere gave assurance of running an all inclusive administration

“Once again, be rest assured of my utmost commitment towards running a government that is all inclusive despite the seeming divergence that may exist between us.” he said
