*Condemns Murder Of Former Branch Chairman

The Oji River Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has condemned the gruesome murder of its Former Chairman, and Candidate of the Labour Party for Enugu East Senatorial election, Elder Oyibo Chukwu.
Elder Oyibo Chukwu was the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Oji River Branch between 2017 and 2019.
He was murdered in cold blood on his way back from campaign around Obeagu – Amechi Road in Enugu State on Thursday night.
In a statement signed by the branch Chairman, Hon. Seth Nwokolo, the branch condemns the murder in very strong terms, describing it as barbaric and heinous, while urging security agencies to ensure the culprits are brought to book.
“We also urge the security agencies and the relevant authorities to ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are brought to book” the statement read.
