Kaduna branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has outlined programs for its 2021 Bar Dinner and Law Week which is slated for Friday, 25th to 29th June.

The theme of the event is “Dispute Resolution: Challenges And Prospect”.

The program is scheduled as follows

1st Day Friday, 25th  June

Jumaat Prayer at Ansarul Islam Society Mosque Abakpa Kaduna by 1: 30pm

Lunch at

Mamman Nasir & Co NT69 Shehu Laminu Road,Ungwan Rimi, Kaduna  by 3: 00pm

Dinner & Reception in Honour of Mohammed Sani Katu Ndanusa, SAN

The Chairman for the day event is Hon. Justice Muhammad Sifawa, the Chief Judge of Sokoto state.

Chief Judge of Kaduna State, Chief Judge  Hon. Justice Muhammadu Lawal Bello, FICMC,  will feature as the Host.

Special guest of honour is the President, Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata, Esq, while the former General Secretary,  NBA, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, is the Guest Speaker

2nd Day- Saturday, 26th June,

Road walk-High Court Complex will begin by 6:00am

The Chairman and special guest of honour is Kaduna state Chief Judge  Justice Muhammadu Lawal Bello, FICMC.

The host is the branch Chairman, Samson Audu, Esq, while the former General Secretary of the NBA, Jonathan Gunu Taidi, will serve as the Keynote speaker.

The showcase which will commence from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm will feature some High Court Judges of the State as the Panel discussants.

The panelists are Justice M.T.M Aliyu, Justice Hannatu A. Laja Balogun, Justice Esther Lolo, Justice Darius Khobo, Chairman NBA Welfare Committee, Yakubu.  C Maikyau, SAN, FCIArb(UK)  and Sherrif Ndasuke, Esq, as the Moderator.

Mentorship And Ethics: What Lawyers Need To Know:

JK Gadzama, SAN will serve as the speaker for this session while Ibrahim Adamu, Anthonia Onike, Maxwell Kyon, and Mohammed Nasir Ibrahim will be discussants.

Yunusa Ustaz-Usman, SAN will chair the session

5th Day- 29th June,

Annual General Meeting will be held by 9:00 am- 11:00 am

Election of branch officers  will commence by 12noon prompt to end 2:00 pm

Swearing in of newly elected officers by the Chairman Election Committee will be from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
