The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association has affirmed the disqualification of one of the Aspirants of the presidential election of the NBA. This was contained in response to the committee’s letter dated Friday, 29th day of June 2018 signed by the Chairman Prof. Auwalu Yadudu and the Secretary, Mr. Bolaji . A. Agoro sighted by The Nigeria Lawyer (TNL). As contained in the letter the committee stated that they find no merit in Mazi Afam‘s appeal. The letter reads in part; Consequently, take notice that you are hereby disqualified from contesting for the office of the president of the NBA at the 2018 NBA Elections slated for the 28th July,2018 by virtue of non- compliance with Section 8 (3)a (1) and Article 4 of the Third Schedule, NBA Constitution 2015. Consequently take notice that you are hereby disqualified from contesting for the office of the President of the NBA at the 2018 NBA Elections slated for the 28th July, 2018 by virtue of non-compliance with Section 8 (3) (a) (i) and Article 4 of the Third Schedule, NBA Constitution 2015.
