The Minister and Attorney General of Jersey Island, Robert J. MacRae, in a meeting with the chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commision, Ibrahim Magu, said the loot would only be released to Nigeria on the condition of the presence of a third party. MacRae stated that negotiations in respect of repatriation of the $300m being part of the Abacha loot between Nigeria and Jersey Island involving the United States of America, USA, “must be government to government cooperation”.
