One of the finer gems of the legal profession, Jadegoke Bonajo Badejo SAN, has passed on to glory yesterday being 5th of June, 2020.

Until his demise, Badejo, S.A.N. was the Principal Partner of Bonaje Badejo & Co.
The late learned silk graduated from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1979. He was a National Scholar throughout his University years. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1980 and obtained a Masters Degree in Law at the University of Lagos, Akoka in 1982 with specialization in Comparative Company Law among other courses.
Between 1981 and 1987, he worked with the firm of Burke & Company, Lagos, renowned firm of International Consultants in Patent, Trademarks, Copyrights and business transactions. He was Head of Chambers of Burke & Company between 1985 and 1987 when he set up Bonajo Badejo & Co.
He became a Notary Public in 1989 and has acted as Legal Consultant and Company Secretary to many blue-chip companies and orthodox religious bodies in Nigeria. He is widely regarded in Legal Circles as a dogged litigation Counsel, with a niche for taking up difficult and complex cases at the High Court, Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court.
He was awarded the Rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee in 2010. He is a Fellow of the Charted Institute of Arbitrators.
He obtained his LL.B from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife in 1979, B.L from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos and LL.M from the University of Lagos, Akoka in 1982

He started his career as a Teacher in United Modern School, Ilesa from 1974 to 1975; Director of Public Prosecutions Office, Lagos; Counsel and later Head of Chambers, Burke & Company, Solicitors, 1981 -1987 and Bonajo Badejo & Co., Solicitors, 1987 till his as Principal Counsel
