* Warns Against Harassment For Renewal

The Inspector-General of Police has directed and warned officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force demanding for a renewal of tinted permit to stop especially if it’s factory fitted.

This was disclosed in an interview with the Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Dolapo Badmos saying that it is a directive from the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

According to her “there’s nothing like renewal of tinted permit, if you have, you have it forever.

“The AIG covering Lagos State and Ogun State have directed the police officer to stop demanding for the renewal of tinted Permit.

“The police has advised that members of the public who are yet to obtain their tinted glass permit should do that at the police website npf.gov.ng/tinted/

Then download and go to the Command Intelligence Bureau (SIB) to get it updated. They will do capturing which will Cover your vehicle forever and no police would have the right to ask for renewal.

“The police advised that upon purchase of a new vehicle, the same procedure above should be followed to obtain the permit.

“That same is for security purpose as it is difficult to know if a victim is inside even if the victim is yelling.

“That is why approval is given only for manufacturers’ tinted glass only, ” she said.
