The Inspector General of Police and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (I. G Monitoring Unit) have refused to produce Lucky Daniel Obayuwana despite order of court for the said Lucky to be produced

This was made known to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) by the lawyer to Mr. Obayuwana, Usman Sani.

The FCT Chief Magistrate Court had on September 24, 2020 granted an order for the release of Mr. Obayuwana.

“It is hereby ordered that the 1st and 2nd Respondent to produce the Applicant (suspect) before this court within 24 hours for the purpose of admitting the Applicant on bail.” The Court held

However, despite the above order, Obayuwana is yet to be released.

Usman Sani who represented narrated that Mr. Lucky Daniel Obayuwana is an automobile technician and a car dealer. He was arrested from his workshop/ Garage behind NEXT cash & carry, jabi Abuja by officer s of the Nigerian police force attached to the I G P monitoring unit.

He said ACP A.A Eleman without court or warrant gave the Order on the 21st September, 2020 for the arrest of Lucky on transaction that was purely contractual and without any element of crime.

The complainant, Idi Aminu, is a politician from Adamawa State who had previously threatened to deal with Mr. Obayuwana because he refused to commit his money to the repairs of the politician’s car.

Usman said Mr Obayuwana has been under detention at the maitama police station since the 21st September, 2020.
