Obra Legal Law firm hosted a Magistrate in Enugu Magisterial District, His Worship Nkem Anibueze at the 2023 Obra Legal International Internship Competition, wherein his Worship was a keynote speaker and the presiding judge of the Mock competition.

According to the information provided by the Managing Partner of Obra Legal, Ikechukwu Onuoma Esq, the event took place on the 14th of July, 2023 and featured His Worship as a keynote speaker in a session that was anchored by Stanley Ugwu, who is the coordinator for the 2023 Obra Legal International internship program.

The address of His Worship was focused on the scope of criminal Litigation, wherein she expounded on criminal litigation process in Nigeria. According to the Managing Partner’s information, this session was informative and education and left the interns with a thrill for litigation and criminal justice. “A truly remarkable experience for the young lawyers.” He noted.

Furthermore, during the lecture, His worship, Magistrate Nkem Anibueze related practical anecdotes stemming from her vast experiences as a legal practitioner to her speech, and went on to narrate the various encounters one can face in the Court of Law as a lawyer.

The event took a climax, as the Mock Trial which the interns had been preparing for during the week Preceeding the event took place. Magistrate Nkem Anibueze presided over the trial, and at the end offered priceless wisdom to the young future lawyers. According to the Managing Partner, His Worship words were inspiring and educative and gave the interns more reason to continue their pursuit of becoming lawyers.

The ceremony came to an end, with a deep gratitude communicated to His worship by Vanessa Iruanusi from Afe Babalola University, for the wonderful session and for taking part in nurturing the next generation of lawyers.
