Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, expressed his frustration over the absence of Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, at the ongoing probe panel set up by the House of Representatives joint Committee.

The panel is investigating allegations of bribery levelled against Nigerian Correctional Service and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officials.

The House of Representatives had previously summoned the EFCC Chairman, Nigerian Correctional Service Comptroller General, Bobrisky, VeryDarkMan, and all officers involved in the prosecution of Bobrisky when he was charged with abuse of the naira. This summons came in response to a letter written by the Lead Chairman of the joint Committee, Hon Ginger Onwusibe, on Friday, addressing the disturbing allegations of corruption against the EFCC and the Nigeria Correctional Services.

During the hearing, Verydarkman, who is currently appearing before the House of Representatives joint Committee, fumed over Bobrisky’s absence. When invited to speak, he stated, “Today I will not say anything because an invitation was given out to me and Bobrisky, but he is not here. I don’t see why I will be here and he will not, so I won’t say anything, but my lawyer will.”

The absence of Bobrisky at the probe panel has raised questions about his involvement in the alleged bribery case and his willingness to cooperate with the investigation. The joint Committee is expected to continue its probe into the allegations of corruption against the EFCC and NCS officials, with the aim of uncovering the truth and ensuring accountability.
