We Are Seeking Legal Talent (0–8 Years)
We welcome applications from highly motivated candidates ranging from newly called lawyers (whether or not they have completed NYSC) up to those with eight years of post-qualification experience.
Experience Level:
Associate / Senior Associate: Newly called to the Bar up to 8 years post-call.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking goal-driven legal professionals who combine academic rigour with practical advisory skills.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Exceptional Academic Record: Candidates possessing a First-Class degree at the University level and a First-Class standing at Law School are the primary target for these roles.
- Strong Doctrinal Knowledge: A deep and authoritative understanding of fundamental legal principles and their application across diverse jurisdictions.
- Practical Advisory Capability: The ability to translate complex legal analysis into real, practical, and cogent advisory for clients.
- Legal Research and Problem-Solving: A demonstrable passion for rigorous legal research and an innovative approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate must be excited by working on novel legal questions.
- Computer Literacy: Essential competency in digital tools and the ability to conduct deep online research.
- Professional Writing: Superior professional writing ability is mandatory for clear and effective communication of complex legal findings.
Desirable Attributes:
- Candidates with a mixture of First Class and Second-Class Upper are also encouraged to apply.
- Goal-driven individuals who measure success by results rather than hours worked.
- Willingness to consider part-time or flexible roles, as this is a remote-first organisation.
Primary Responsibilities
Successful candidates will undertake challenging, high-impact tasks that shape global legal discourse:
- Conduct advanced doctrinal research on complex, multi-jurisdictional legal issues.
- Develop strategic legal opinions and white papers at the confluence of technology, regulation, and global commerce.
- Provide prompt, real-time advisory on emerging legal challenges in any area of law.
- Analyse precedents and synthesise complex legal materials into clear, actionable advice.
Compensation: Highly Competitive. The earning potential for successful candidates — regardless of their level of experience — is very high, surpassing typical remuneration structures in top Nigerian commercial law firms.
Work Arrangement: Fully Remote position, offering maximum flexibility and location independence.
