The information available to TheNigerialawyer (TNL) suggests that the Ag. Registrar-General/CEO of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Lady Azuka Obiageli Azinge is only on leave and not removed.

In a letter dated the 30th day of December, 2019, signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, Mni, and sighted by TheNigerialawyer (TNL), it was stated that Lady Azuka Obiageli Azinge is on a fifteen days leave. Subsequently, Shafi Saratu Mama (Mrs) was directed to take over as the Ag. Registrar-General/CEO of the Commission for the period.

TNL recalls that Moses Adaguusu, the Head of Public Affairs of the commission, had earlier announced the appointment of Saratu Shafii as the CAC Acting Registrar-General.

Also, Justice Danladi Umar of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Abuja had earlier ordered Lady Azuka to step aside as acting R-G of the CAC, pending hearing and determination of motion before the Tribunal.
