The Enugu State High Court Rules Review Committee is inviting memoranda from the public.

The Notice of call is signed by the Committee Secretary, Chief Magistrate Mrs. Ezugwu H. U. Ph.D. and made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL). The notice reads in part:

“…the committee hereby request memoranda from the stakeholders in the judicial project in which you are one. Such Memorandum should highlight the areas considered inadequate and suggest alternative provisions to ensure that the desired goal is achieved.”

The Enugu State Chief Judge had in a bid to address the obvious deficiencies in the current Enugu State High Court Rules, 2006, inaugurated on the 6th of January, 2020 a committee to review the Rules to address the obvious deficiencies which appear inherent in them bringing it in line with the global best practices

Memoranda are to be sent online via Email: enuguhighcourtrulescommittee@gmail.com with a hard copy addressed to the Chairman, Enugu High Court Rules Review Committee, Judicial Service Commission, Conference Hall, Enugu State Judiciary Headquarters, Independence Layout, Enugu and to reach him not later than 20th January, 2020.
