Indications emerged on Wednesday that the Muhammad Umar Abba led Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) has embarked on massive redeployment in the anti-graft agency affecting about 30 officers including appointments of new zonal heads to replace the once sent back to the police.

Bawa Abdulmajeed is to head Lagos zonal office, Abubakar Ahmad heads Abuja, Mohammed Sanusi to head Kano, Edeh Uchenna goes to Uyo, Muhktar Bello, Benin zonal head, and Chukkol Abdulkareem is now zonal head, Port Harcourt.
It would be recalled that the last shake up in the agency affected 20 zonal and heads of sections, who were redeployed to the police.
Most of those affected were rated as “crack investigators” who have worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Metropolitan Police and the National Crime Agency (NCA).
It was learnt that the mass redeployment of top zonal officers and heads of sections was in line with the ongoing reforms in the commission.
Recall that the agency had shoved aside it secretary, Ola Olukoyede, Abubakar Madaki, Rotimi Oyedepo, Ishaq Sharu, Kassim Yusuf, Muhammed Abba, Osas Azenabor, Bashir Abdullahi, Ahmed Pate, GK Latona, and Imam Usman in its first purge.
