*Committee Outlines Tech Goals for Transparent Polls

The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to engage a Technical Support Consultant for the NBA’s national elections slated for July 2024.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Oluseun Abimbola SAN, the ECNBA said the consultant would provide critical technical assistance throughout the electoral process in line with the association’s constitution.

The committee outlined a project goal of delivering a free, fair, credible and transparent election leveraging modern technology for seamless participation of all eligible voting members.

The Technical Support Consultant will play vital roles in compiling the voters register, identifying verification protocols, developing RFP criteria for the election technology vendor, conducting system tests and audits, and providing training/support to stakeholders.

Interested and qualified consulting firms have until February 29th, 2024 to submit proposals with detailed scopes of work, deliverables, costs and capabilities. The ECNBA said selection will be based on response quality, cost and expertise.

Shortlisted firms will be published online for feedback before finalvetting. With over 50,000 members, the NBA elections is one of the major professional association polls held in Nigeria every two years.
