The financial statements for the Olumide Akpata led administration has detailed the total sum the Olumide Akpata led administration left in coffers of the Nigerian Bar Association.

According to a financial report sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer, Mercy Agada in her Treasurer’s report noted that at the end of the first half of the year Statement of Activities, the Association maintained a surplus of N428,012,000 (Four Hundred and Twenty Eight Million, Twelve Thousand Naira Only.

The report further reads: “As at 30th June 2022, our total bank balances was N1,914,412,000 (One Billion, Nine Hundred and Fourteen Million, Four Hundred and Twelve Thousand Naira) out of which N1,500,000,000 (One Billion, Five Hundred Million Naira) was in a fixed deposit account. While a substantial part of the remainder remains as special funds for specific projects in restricted accounts as evidently captured above.”

The special projects contained in her report include NBA-SAFE Project Account, Medical Fund Account, NBA Human Rights Institute, Macarthur Foundation account, Pounds Account, Dollar Account, Administrative Account etc.
