Senator Ned Nwoko has released what his team described as a detailed account of events surrounding allegations recently made by his wife, Regina Daniels, including excerpts from a WhatsApp message dated October 17 and references to medical and therapy records.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Senator Ned Nwoko Communication Team, the senator dismissed claims of domestic abuse, describing them as a calculated attempt to deflect from what he called long-standing health and behavioural concerns.

According to the statement, independent toxicology reports allegedly confirmed the presence and abuse of multiple substances, a finding the team said corroborated concerns raised privately months before the issue became public.

The communication team said professional help, including therapy and structured rehabilitation, had been initiated and repeatedly encouraged well before the dispute entered the public space.

“The October message reflects frustration and a final attempt to insist on sustained professional help, either through continued therapy or structured rehabilitation,” the statement said.

The team stressed that concerns expressed by the senator were primarily focused on declining health, unsafe behaviour, and the well-being of the children, adding that financial boundaries introduced at the time were meant to prevent what it described as enabling a destructive lifestyle, not as punishment.

It further claimed that Regina’s decision to go public marked a shift from private intervention to what it described as “public victimhood,” alleging that the move was intended to avoid long-term treatment and attract public sympathy.

“The October 17 message stands as a factual anchor,” the statement said, noting that it was written before public pressure, court proceedings, or reputational considerations. The team insisted the message reflected concern, boundaries, and insistence on treatment, not violence.

According to the communication team, evidence including medical reports, staff statements, therapy records, and contemporaneous messages supports the senator’s position and contradicts claims of domestic abuse.

The statement concluded by saying the senator would not shy away from addressing all issues raised by Regina in her videos and writings, including allegations relating to age and infidelity.
