The National Industrial Court of Nigeria sitting at Abuja has issued a bench warrant against the Director of Operations, National Film and Video Censors Board, Mr. F. O. Abua.
TheNigeriaLawyer learnt that the bench warrant was issued on the 15th day of July, 2021 because Abua willfully stalled the day’s proceedings and the facts that attempts were made several times by bailiff of the Court to serve the SUBPOENA AD TESTIFICANDUM AND DUCES TECUM on F O Abua since 2019, who willfully refused to endorse and or honour the Command on the ground that he is a civil servant and cannot betray his Boss.
The matter was brought by the Claimant, Mr Olushola Peace Anjorin, for an alleged wrongful dismissal from NFVCB.
The court arrived at its Order on terms after arguments by Counsel for the Claimant, Prof J O Amupitan SAN, and that of the Defendants were thoroughly taken.
The matter has been adjourned to 4th of November 2021 for Trial.
