In a bid to improve the service delivery at that the Anambra State Judiciary and ensure lasting transparency in the system, the Anambra State Judiciary has released a circular of which is expected to guide court users to make suggestions and complaints about ineffective service within the courthouse.

The circular which was issued by the Chief Registrar of the Court, Chinyere Ossy-Okoye Esq (Mrs.), is titled ‘Anambra State Judiciary Court Users Guide’.

1. Make your complaints or comments about services in our courts as follows:

a. A report to the ACR or Senior Registrar in the Court.

b. Write, call, email or send SMS to the hotlines and email address provided below.

c. Place your feedbacks or suggestions in the Suggestion Boxes in and around the Court Premises.

2. Things you can complain about:
a. Lack of service, poor quality of services or misconducts.

b. Bribery and Corruption.

c. Demand for payment without issuance of official receipts.

d. Demand for payment for bail.

3. You cannot complain about:

a. Court Rulings and Judgments.

b. Persons who are not Judiciary staff.

4. Written complaints can be entertained if there is need for investigations.

A complainant is to provide his/her contact details; names, Phone number, Address and E-mail Address.

5. Anonymous complaints can only be entertained where there is a cogent reason.
