The Management of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced its decision that Associations must obtain a prior consent for registration.

This is contained in a statement notice from the Management which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer.

According to the notice, the direction is to commence from 8th day of July, 2020, stating that Associations intending to register under PART C of CAMA must seek the consent of the Commission henceforth.

“This is to inform our esteemed Customers that as from Wednesday , 8th July, 2020, all Associations seeking registration under PART C of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 1990, must seek the CONSENT of the Commission for such registration.” The notice read.
