A flyer made available to TheNigeriaLawyer shows that the conferment was done on Tuesday May 3, 2022 by His Roya Highness, the Otaru of Auchi, Alhaji Hybred Aliru Momoh, Ikelebe the III.
Malik, SAN Is the Managing Partner of Alegeh and Co., a thriving Law Firm with Offices all around Nigeria in May, 2010 and heads the Oil and Gas Section of the Law Firm, together with Arbitration Teams in the firm. He is a 1999 graduate of Law from the University of Ibadan.
He attended the Nigerian Law School in the 2001-2002 Session and was duly called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002. He presently holds Masters Degrees in Law (LL. M) from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and Masters in International Studies (MIS) from the University of Ilorin. He also holds Certificates in International Criminal Justice & Administration and Public Prosecution from the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.
He was a Board Member and Legal Adviser of the Federal Inland Revenue Service and Legal Adviser to Joint Tax Boards (2008 â 2010). He was a Special Assistant to the Honourable Attorney General of The Federation and Minister of Justice between 2007 and 2010. He had a brief stint with the law firm of Afe Babalola (SAN) & Co., (as an intern) in 2001 and later joined the Chambers of Wole Olanipekun & Co. as an Associate where he rose to the position of Head of Chambers.
He is widely travelled both locally and internationally having been attending NBA, CLA and IBA conferences since 2002. He was a member of the Nigerian Delegation to the United Nationsâ General Assembly for three (3) consecutive years (2007, 2008 & 2009). He is firmly rooted in litigation and arbitration and is a member of The Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Junior Chambers, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, International Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, U.K., The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economists, Associate Member of the Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (US). A Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. Malik has argued cases in all Courts in Nigeria, which said efforts got crowned on Monday the 23rd of September, 2019, in Abuja where he was one of the youngest Silks conferred with the distinctive and apex Rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
