The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Princess F. Frank-Chukwuani as a member of the Governing Board of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria.

The appointment letter which was sighted by TNL is dated the 27th day of May, 2019, and signed by the Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Dayo Apata.

The appointment is to last for a term of three (3) years in the first instance with terms expected to take effect from the 13th of May, 2019. According to the letter, the said terms are to be communicated to the appointee by the Director-General of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria in due course.

The letter reads:

“I am pleased to inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved your appointment as a member of the Governing Board of the legal Aid Council of Nigeria for a terms of three (3) years in the first instance.

The terms of your appointment which takes effect from 13th May, 2019 shall be communicated to you by the Director-General of the Legal Aid Council of Nigerian in due course.

The Board shall be inaugurated by the Hon. Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice in the Federal Ministry of Justice Headquarters on Tuesday, 28th May, 2019.”
