Bisi Makanjuola has been elected as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch following the announcement of results at the end of the Lagos Bar elections just a few moments ago. He will succeed outgoing Chairman Ikechukwu Uwanna as Chairman of the Premier Bar Branch.
His nearest rival, Mr. Mayowa Owolabi, earned 684 votes, but he received 720 votes to win. With 258 votes, Mr. Adebola Lema finished third-farthest.
Along with Makanjuola, other victors from the election will make up the Branch’s next Executive Committee. As follows:
– Esther Ifeoma Jimoh, the incoming vice chairperson;
– Muobo Majemite, the incoming secretary;
– Oyindamola Chinelo Fasakin, incoming social secretary;
– Omoniyi Onabule, next publicity secretary;
– Bennita Nneka Olejeme, the incoming financial secretary;
– Adeola Olabamiji, the incoming assistant secretary;
– The incoming secretary of welfare, Olaide Oluwayomi Ajewole;
– Ono Frances (soon-to-be treasurer);
– Ali Jubril, the incoming provost.
