Today marks a great day in the life of a distinguished Advocate, Arbitrator and Administrator per excellence as we celebrate the life of a man whose drive and love for justice, fairness and due process is highly acknowledged by all who have had dealings with Dr Babatunde Ajibade,SAN.

For Dr Ajibade,SAN, the life of a lawyer is a solemn duty to serve in the interest of the society and ensuring that the noble ideals of the profession is maintained at all times in order to give the people the confidence that truly the Judiciary is the last hope of the common man.

For Doc, as he is fondly called by his staff and peers, a lawyer must act in good faith at all times and help as a minister in the temple of justice to ensure that justice is done at all times to everyone.

Dr Ajibade is a fervent supporter of judicial reforms with the end goal of advancing the course of justice hence he has devoted his time, energy and resources to walk the talk by serving as the Chair of the Judiciary Relations Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association at both the branch and national level.

Dr Ajibade is a man admired and respected by his colleagues, clients and contemporaries for his integrity, hard work, tenacity and commitment to advancing the legal profession.

As a trail blazer, Dr Ajibade,SAN became the first person in his law school set to take silk, hence his nickname “Asiwaju”.  As a member of the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, Doc worked assiduously to bring the much needed reforms to the process for conferring the rank of SAN on deserving members of the profession.

As you celebrate another year of God’s goodness and grace in your life, this is to wish you many more years of good health and prosperity in service to our noble profession, society and humanity at large.
