Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra Governor Peter Obi, are at the opening ceremony of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference holding in Lagos.

Atiku, presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), arrived the Eko Hotel venue of the ceremony around 11am.

Obi, presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), arrived at about 11:15am.

They are two of the four leading candidates in 2023 presidential election invited by the NBA’s Technical Committee on Conference Planning (TCCP) and who confirmed participation.

They are expected to speak in a panel session on the topic “Democratic Transitions in 21st Century Nigeria: 2023 and Beyond”.

Literary icon Chimamanda Adichie, who will deliver the keynote speech at the event has also arrived.

The 2022 NBA Annual General Conference, with the theme “Bold Transitions”, is holding at the Eko Atlantic City in Lagos from 19th to 26th August, 2022.
