…Calls For immediate Sanction Of Judges, Lawyers In Jigawa, Abuja, Owerri Judicial Heist

The Court of Appeal, Awka Division headed by the Presiding Justice, Hon Justice C Nwosu-Iheme has dismissed with heavy costs the applications filed by Chief Edozie Njoku, Jude Okeke and Hon Wilson Onyekwelu.

While ruling on the applications on Monday the 2nd day of August 2021, the Court of Appeal noted that the applications filed by the applicants were grossly incompetent and thus liable to be dismissed. Consequently, the court dismissed the three applications with heavy costs in favour of the Chief Victor Oye-led APGA.

Particularly, the Presiding Justice frowned at the manner various frivolous suits were instituted in respect of Anambra State Governorship primary election of APGA in various states outside Anambra despite the admonitions of the Supreme Court on territorial jurisdictions of State High court.

The presiding Justice, who was livid with anger, called for the severe and immediate disciplinary measures against the Judges and the counsel involved in the spurious judgements obtained in Jigawa state, Imo State and the High Court of the FCT for bringing the image of the judiciary to disrepute and public ridicule.

It will be recalled that Justice C.C. Okaa had delivered an emphatic judgment reaffirming Dr Ike Victor Oye as the National Chairman of APGA and Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, as the undisputable governorship candidate of APGA. The appellants had filed motions challenging the judgment. They were dismissed.

Chukwuma Umeoji had paid for nomination forms and also went for screening at the Dr Ike Victor Oye led national executive as the only legally sanctioned and INEC recognized officers of APGA.

When he was disqualified with four others, he appointed one Jude Okeke who is unknown to APGA as his own new national chairman.

They consequently started shopping for courts and judges who could give them frivolous court orders. They obtained such orders from Jigawa, Abuja and Imo state high courts.

The court of Appeal in Awka has frowned seriously at such rascality.
