Adamawa State Governor Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has today sworn in the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Barr. Afraimu K Jingi and four others as Members of the state judicial service commission.
In his speech shortly after the swearing-in ceremony at the council chambers Government House Yola, the Governor charged the appointees to ensure speedy dispensation of Justice in the State.
Fintiri reminded them of the Administration’s seriousness in government business and assured them of his commitment to salvage the state.
While congratulating them for their well-deserved positions, he admonished them to do whatever it takes to lift the state to greater heights taking into cognisance the principles of the rule of law and separation of powers.
The four members of the state judicial service commission who were also sworn in are Abubakar Mohammed Pariya, Suleiman Musa, Ambrose Mamadi and Barr. Christy Denis Goje.
Responding on behalf of appointees, the new Attorney General Barr. Afraimu K Jingi thanked the Governor for finding them worthy of the position and assured him their total loyalty.
The oath of office was administered to them the Chief Judge of the State justice Ishaya Kidaya Banu
Jingi is the first person to be appointed by Fintiri as commissioner since his assumption as Governor about two months ago.
The Governor has also promised to forward the names of the rest of the commissioner nominees to the state assembly for screening soon.
