Former NBA 1st Vice President and 2026 presidential hopeful, John Aikpokpo-Martins, has congratulated Damien Nosike on his assumption of leadership of the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

In a statement on Saturday, Aikpokpo-Martins also commended the leaders and members of the forum for successfully navigating a smooth leadership transition “amidst amity, brotherhood, and harmony.”

He described the EBF’s seamless handover process as “a showcase model worthy of emulation by all other bar fora and indeed, the Nigerian Bar Association itself,” expressing confidence in Nosike’s capacity to steer the forum effectively at a pivotal time in its history.

“Once again, congratulations Damien and the entire Eastern Bar Forum. Wishing you all the best in your new leadership tenure,” Aikpokpo-Martins added.
