SPA Ajibade & Co. has opened submissions for its 2025 Annual Business Luncheon Essay Competition, inviting lawyers with 1–7 years post-call experience to contribute ideas on restoring public confidence in Nigeria’s justice sector.

The competition aligns with this year’s luncheon theme: “Rebuilding Public Trust in the Nigerian Justice System: Responsibilities of the Bar, the Bench, and the Society.”

Participants are required to submit essays of no more than 2,000 words, referenced using OSCOLA, typed in Arial 11, with 1.5 line spacing, and submitted in Word format to luncheon@spaajibade.com by 11:59 PM (WAT) on November 30, 2025.

Prizes for winning entries include sponsorship for certification or professional memberships, LawPavilion Primsol subscriptions, and other career-enhancing benefits.

Winners will be announced at the 18th Annual Business Luncheon scheduled for:

  • Date: Thursday, December 11, 2025
  • Time: 11:00 AM
  • Venue: Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island, Lagos
  • Registration: luncheon.spaajibade.com

Ahead of the event, a Public Perception Survey has been launched to gather insights on how Nigerians view the justice system. The survey is open to lawyers and non-lawyers at luncheon.spaajibade.com/survey.

Young lawyers eager to shape reforms in the justice sector are encouraged to participate, emphasizing that the future of Nigeria’s justice system depends on voices willing to challenge norms and propose practical solutions.
