Gani Fawehinmi Signature Prize for the promotion of Human Rights and Social Justice in Nigeria. THE PRIZE The prize is to, henceforth, be awarded yearly to a person (s) or institution(s) in Nigeria that has attained distinction through consistent boldness, courage, independence, innovation and risk taking in the defence of the rule of law, access to justice, human rights promotion, advocacy or enforcement, the rights of the voiceless and the demand for accountable government. MODALITY FOR NOMINATION

1. Every nomination shall be made in 10 copies, accompanied by 10 copies of nominee’s curriculum vitae duly signed and dated.
2. Every nomination shall be submitted under confidential cover/boldly marked at the right hand corner of the envelope “GANI FAWEHINMI PRIZE”, and addressed to The Secretary, NBA Human Rights Institute, NBA House, Plot 1101 Muhammadu Buhari Way, Cadastral Zone A00, Central Business District, Abuja. • Nominations shall close by 4pm on Friday November 24, 2017.
• Winner shall be announced on Friday December 1, 2017.
