The governor stated this while speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2017 Chief Judge’s Seminar, held at the International Events Centre, Akure, the state capital. It was gathered that about 91 judicial officers were recently suspended by the Ondo State Judicial Commission over alleged irregularity in the process of their appointments but 25 of them were said to have been cleared. Represented by his deputy, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, the governor explained that the development was introduced by the state judicial commission, which was part of the ongoing efforts of cleaning the judiciary in the state. Akeredolu charged the stakeholders in the judiciary to champion fairness, equity and justice while discharging their constitutional responsibilities, noting that for the nation to grow, all hands must be on the deck to ensure equity and justice in the national life of the citizenry. He said, “The ongoing reform in the judiciary will give way for speedy judicial dispensation in the country.”]]>
