Ohagba, in a birthday message celebrating Wali, who is also a Life Bencher and Pro-Chancellor of Rivers State University, commended his leadership qualities, professional discipline, integrity and commitment to mentoring younger members of the legal profession.
Describing the former NBA President as a quintessential leader, revered legal icon, boss and mentor, Ohagba said Wali’s achievements demonstrated that genuine leadership goes beyond occupying positions of authority.
According to him, true leadership is earned through consistent excellence, discipline and an unwavering commitment to integrity.
“True leadership is a rare virtue. It is not merely defined by titles; it is earned through unbroken records of excellence, discipline, and unblemished integrity,” he stated.

Reflecting on Wali’s tenure as NBA President, Ohagba described his administration as a golden era of leadership characterised by professional excellence, discipline and dedication to the advancement of the legal profession.
He noted that Wali’s leadership philosophy and commitment to upholding professional standards had left an enduring legacy within the association.
