An Abuja High Court has again adjourned the alleged assault and battery suit against Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, after the claimant testified and relied on medical records, photographs, WhatsApp communications and other documents in support of his case.

Justice J.O.E. Ajayi adjourned the matter until October 14, 2026, for the defendant’s counsel to cross-examine the claimant, Levi Ogbogiri, also known as Kraziecent.

Ogbogiri instituted the action in November 2025, alleging that Odumodublvck assaulted him without provocation during a public event on December 16, 2024.

The allegations remain claims before the court and have not been determined.

At the resumed hearing on Tuesday, counsel to Ogbogiri, Uchenna Ojembe, announced his appearance and informed the court that the matter was scheduled for hearing.

Ojembe told the court that his client was present and ready to proceed, while Odumodublvck and his counsel, Taiwo Akinsulie, were absent.

He also drew the court’s attention to what he described as repeated adjournments in the case, stressing that the claimant was prepared to present his evidence.

“The matter has suffered too many adjournments and I am ready to proceed,” the counsel told the court.

Justice Ajayi, however, initially ordered a stand-down to give the defendant and his lawyer an opportunity to appear before proceedings continued.

The court had earlier, on June 23, fixed October 13 and 14 for hearing in the matter.

When proceedings resumed after the stand-down and neither Odumodublvck nor his counsel had appeared, Ogbogiri entered the witness box and proceeded with his testimony.

The claimant adopted his witness statements on oath and affidavits deposed to on February 25, 2026, and asked the court to grant the reliefs sought in his suit.

Ogbogiri told the court that he was relying on several digital and documentary exhibits already before it in an attempt to establish his claims against the rapper.

The exhibits, according to him, include multi-party contracts, medical records, photographs, WhatsApp communication logs, payment receipts and other digital records connected with the dispute.

Part of his testimony also referred to an allegedly unperformed booking contract involving Walex Biz Nigeria Ltd, Shelter Groove Ltd, Capworld Nigeria Ltd and Chinotem Nig Ltd.

The claimant further relied on medical documentation which, according to him, relates to a wrist injury and subsequent treatment allegedly arising from the incident. He also referred to photographs said to support his account.

After hearing the claimant’s testimony and considering the evidence placed before it, the court adjourned until October 14 to enable the defence to cross-examine him.

Ogbogiri is asking the court, among other reliefs, to order Odumodublvck to pay his medical expenses and issue a public apology through his social media platforms and two national newspapers.

In the alternative, the claimant is seeking ₦2 billion in damages.
