Senior Advocate of Nigeria and candidate for the NBA Presidential Election, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, FCIArb (UK), has felicitated Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the global legal community on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration.

In his goodwill message, Akangbe described Eid al-Adha as a season of reflection, sacrifice, devotion and gratitude to Almighty Allah.

According to him, the celebration reminds Muslims and all citizens of the enduring values of faith, obedience, compassion and communal unity, which he said strengthen shared humanity and deepen the bonds that hold society together.

“As we mark this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to all Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the global legal community,” he said.

Akangbe noted that the lessons of Sallah are important at this stage of Nigeria’s national and professional journey, particularly for the legal profession and the Nigerian Bar.

He urged Nigerians and members of the Bar to allow the values of the season inspire greater service, tolerance, justice and commitment to the collective progress of the nation.

“At this significant moment in our national and professional journey, may the lessons of Sallah inspire us all towards greater service, tolerance, justice, and commitment to the collective progress of our nation and the Nigerian Bar,” he stated.

The senior lawyer prayed that the blessings of Sallah would bring peace, prosperity, renewed hope and divine favour to homes, communities, the legal profession and Nigeria.

He also called for continued harmony, love, selflessness and togetherness among citizens.

“May we continue to live in harmony and uphold the spirit of sacrifice, love, selflessness, and togetherness that this sacred celebration inspires,” Akangbe added.

He concluded by wishing Muslims and their loved ones a peaceful Eid celebration.

“TaqabalaLlahu minna wa minkum. Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones,” he said.
