Big Brother Naija power couple, Tope Adenibuyan, popularly known as Teddy A, and Bamike Adenibuyan, aka Bambam, have sparked fresh concerns about the state of their marriage after observant fans noticed that the pair no longer follow each other on Instagram.

The social media development has added fuel to lingering rumours that their over five-year-old marriage may be facing challenges.

Speculation about a possible rift first surfaced in December 2025, when both reality stars shared separate Christmas photoshoots, a move that triggered online conversations about trouble in paradise.

Though neither Teddy A nor Bambam has publicly addressed the latest development, their Instagram activity has placed their relationship under renewed public scrutiny.

The couple met during the 2018 edition of BBNaija and later tied the knot in 2019 in Dubai.

In an interview with PUNCH Online in August 2019, Bambam revealed that her relationship with Teddy A began unexpectedly.

She said, “It started as a game. I didn’t even know it would become something serious. It wasn’t part of my plan to fall in love in the house, but I guess everything happened according to fate.”

Over the years, the duo have built a brand around their love story, often sharing family moments with their children and collaborating on projects, earning them admiration as one of BBNaija’s most celebrated couples.

The renewed rumours are also coming days after Teddy A addressed past domestic abuse allegations that once trailed their marriage.

In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, shared on Instagram, the singer described the claims as false and deeply distressing.

“I woke up, went downstairs, and my wife was there watching a movie. She was pregnant and laughing.

“I hadn’t posted anything. I was wondering what was trending and why my phone was blowing up,” he recalled.

According to him, the allegations, which claimed he physically abused his wife, even during pregnancy— caught them completely off guard.

“She kept asking who could do this to us. Honestly, I didn’t know where it came from,” he said.

Teddy A explained that he initially chose to remain silent on his manager’s advice, hoping the controversy would fade.

However, he later realised the decision had long-term effects.

“At the time, I didn’t understand the damage staying silent would do. Even now, when my wife and I post photos or videos, people still comment and ask if I beat her,” he said.

The reality star stated that he has never assaulted Bambam and that the domestic violence claims damaged his image and the way brands viewed him.

He also lamented that the rumours affected his chances of getting gigs.

“When they said I was beating my wife, it was a lot for me. That day, I woke up and went downstairs. My wife was pregnant, and we were just laughing,” he said.

“I checked my phone, and I saw my notification going up, and I was like, I didn’t drop any content that is trending.

“What did I do, or what are they saying now. Then I’m going through comments, and I am surprised. You know my wife is a bit emotional, and she started asking who would have done this.

“I thought it was probably one ex or ‘village people.’ I called my manager, and he advised me not to fuel the fire and to let it go.

“It affected my image. Anytime my wife and I posted, the comments were terrible because we didn’t immediately debunk the claims.”

Reflecting on the experience, he added, “It affected me because people began to see me in a way that wasn’t true.”

As of the time of filing this report, the couple has not issued any statement regarding the unfollowing incident.

Fans, however, continue to speculate online, with many hoping the move is merely a misunderstanding rather than confirmation of marital troubles.

The couple welcomed their first child in 2020. In 2022, they announced the birth of their second child.

While some users argued that the issues might not be unconnected to BamBam’s kiss role in a movie, others urged caution, noting that online activity is not always a reliable indicator of a couple’s private life.

Born Tope Adenibuyan, Teddy A was a rapper and singer in Dallas, US, before moving to Nigeria. He participated in the Big Brother Naija ‘Double Wahala’ season 3 where he met and fell in love with Bam Bam.
