The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ibadan Branch, has commenced its 2025 Annual Law Week, drawing commendation from legal practitioners across the country for its timely and forward-looking theme.

In a congratulatory message, Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq., a Past National Officer of the NBA, extended his warm felicitations to the Executive Committee of the Ibadan Branch led by Ibrahim Lawal, as well as the Law Week Planning Committee and the entire membership of the branch.

Ohagba praised the theme of the Law Week, “Law, Ethics & Innovation: Sustaining the Future of Legal Practice,” describing it as a powerful reflection of the evolving demands of the legal profession. He noted that while innovation is essential in a changing world, it must be firmly anchored in ethical conduct and professional integrity.

According to him, the legal profession must not merely adapt to change but should lead society with conscience, courage, and clarity of purpose. He expressed optimism that the 2025 Law Week would stimulate meaningful discussions, encourage responsible innovation, and reinforce the Bar’s commitment to serving society with honour and integrity.

The NBA Ibadan Branch Annual Law Week is expected to feature lectures, panel discussions, and activities focused on strengthening ethical standards and embracing innovation for the sustainable future of legal practice in Nigeria.
