Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that she was only 17 years old when she married politician and businessman Ned Nwoko, alleging that she trusted him completely, even with her private “sex tape.”

Her statement came in response to Ned Nwoko’s recent allegations that she and her siblings are drug addicts.

Taking to social media, Regina refuted the claim and questioned whether she was a drug addict when Nwoko married her as a teenager. She further suggested that her estranged husband played a role in her alleged drug use.

“Yes everyone! It is now in history that Regina Daniels did drugs because that was what her husband wanted believe it or not,” she wrote.

“Dearest ex-husband, thanks for breaking the crown you put on my head. No one knew us like us, and I trusted you with all of me, even with my sex tape, which I pray never sees the light. But you have always been a step ahead negatively. Foolish me! When I married you at 17, was I on drugs? I thank God for time. My name is ruined for now, but I will rewrite my story! That narrative will be dead and gone,” she continued.

Regina vowed to fight back through legal means, calling Nwoko a “narcissistic manipulative bastard” and insisting that she would not back down.

“I’m so pained! I am ruined! Y’all can laugh but the laughter won’t be for long as long as I serve my God,” she added.

While Regina has often been evasive about her exact age, she stated last week—amid her fallout with Nwoko that she is 24 years old. Her latest claim, however, suggests she was 17 when she married him in May 2019.

Given her October 10 birth date, if she turned 24 on October 10, 2025, it means she was still 17 at the time of the marriage.

This claim contradicts a 2020 BBC interview in which her mother, Rita Daniels, said Regina was to turn 20 that year suggesting she was 18 at the time of her wedding and is now 25.

The conflicting accounts have sparked debate across social media, with “At 17” trending on X (formerly Twitter) as Nigerians question the true timeline of the actress’s marriage and age.
