In a series of social media posts on X (formerly Twitter), Senator Ned Nwoko leveled serious allegations against his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ family, particularly her brother Sammy Daniels, claiming repeated harassment and interference with her drug rehabilitation efforts. The Delta State lawmaker shared videos purportedly showing confrontations at his home and detailed his financial support for the family, framing the ongoing marital turmoil as linked to Daniels’ alleged substance abuse and external interference.

Nwoko, 64, who married the 24-year-old Daniels in 2019, posted the thread on Saturday evening, including two video clips allegedly capturing Sammy’s aggressive interactions with Nwoko’s domestic staff. In the videos, a young man identified as Sammy is seen arguing heatedly with workers outside the property, with raised voices and aggressive gestures.

“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially when I was not around. His visits were often aggressive and disruptive,” Nwoko wrote in the opening post. He emphasized his generosity toward Sammy, stating, “This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma. I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja, and purchased a house for Regina in Asaba before our marriage for the use of all of them.”

The senator further claimed to have provided substantial financial support to Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, adding, “In the last two years, I have transferred ₦125 million to her alone.” This comes amid public controversy following a viral video last month in which Daniels tearfully accused Nwoko of physical abuse and confinement.

Nwoko said Daniels’ alleged substance abuse prompted a structured rehabilitation program. He described observing “troubling changes in her behavior linked to dependence on certain illegal substances, including going for 48 hours without sleeping and eating every two hours.” He claimed doctors instructed strict restrictions on visitors, particularly “enablers,” to aid recovery.

However, Nwoko accused Sammy, siblings like Destiny and Lawrence, and friends including Sonia Uche Montana of repeatedly violating these boundaries. “They would come into the house uninvited, sometimes forcing their way in, and would bring her the same drugs she was being treated for,” he alleged. He claimed the group, including Sammy’s girlfriend “NK,” initially introduced Daniels to these substances and continued to supply her, frustrating therapeutic progress.

The senator recounted incidents of Daniels staying out overnight and returning defiant. On one occasion, after a night at a nightclub, she reportedly said, “You are not my father, so don’t ask me where I was.” Nwoko linked her absences to associations with suppliers like “Cassie,” whom he confronted separately. He said Daniels justified her habits as part of a “celebrity lifestyle,” a view echoed by her mother.

A particularly vivid incident involved a 4 a.m. confrontation four weeks ago, when Nwoko found Daniels “clearly high” in his room while on the phone with Sammy’s girlfriend. After escorting the visitor out, Sammy allegedly stormed the property, “shouting and demanding that I come downstairs to face him,” prompting security intervention. Nwoko decried the “audacity,” attributing it to drug influence.

He addressed a viral video depicting Daniels in distress, claiming assault by Nwoko’s “thugs,” dismissing it as a “pure Nollywood scenario” orchestrated by Daniels’ sister and a friend in his absence. “They planned and orchestrated a script… They took many things from my house, including a phone, money, and other items,” he wrote, insisting no violence occurred on his orders.

The thread also highlighted Sammy’s personal struggles, noting his arrests by the police and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Nwoko recalled offering Sammy a master’s program in London, as was done for brother Lawrence, but Sammy opted to stay in Nigeria for his music career. “He needs total rehab; otherwise, his violent behavior will continue,” Nwoko concluded.

This latest outburst follows previous public disputes. In October, Nwoko released footage of property allegedly damaged by Daniels during a “carnage and rampage,” attributing it to her addiction and reiterating calls for rehabilitation in Asokoro or abroad, such as Jordan. Daniels, in response, has accused Nwoko of abuse, forced sedation, and restricting her freedom, while her family claims harassment and wrongful detention of siblings, including Lawrence over their late brother’s death.

As of press time, neither Daniels nor her representatives have publicly responded to Nwoko’s latest claims. The senator, a prominent figure with multiple wives and a history of philanthropy, has previously shared positive family moments, including announcements of their children and cultural endorsements.
